Vice President of Operations for New Hampshire
Ann Dancy has an MSW and 30 years of experience supervising a variety of social service programs. As a Vice President for Ascentria, Ann has overseen the expansion of services available throughout New Hampshire, including Language Bank.
During her tenure, Language Bank has grown to become a leader in language access services and a one-stop for all language access needs. Ann has written numerous grants and collaborated with many community partners to improve the quality of services to the citizens of New England.
Business Development and Customer Service Manager
Alen holds a B.S. in Justice Studies and has 19 years of experience at Ascentria providing and coordinating all aspects of Language Banks’s services and as a caseworker with Ascentria’s Services for New Americans program.
Alen oversees the overall customer experience across Language Bank services and assures a positive customer experience with new and long-standing customers. He assists with establishing new accounts for translation, interpretation, over-the-phone, and video.
In addition, Alen is a certified Lead Medical Interpreting Trainer through CultureSmart. He is also a lead trainer for the Art of Legal Interpreting offered through Language Bank. Alen speaks Bosnian, Croatian and Serbian.
ASL Services Coordinator
Brianna began working for LB in January of 2021 and brings over 10 years of customer service and ASL experience to the organization. She has worked for the Nashua School District as a signing paraprofessional providing assistance for teachers of Deaf and Special Needs students and to provide student’s academic support. More recently, she worked for the Derry School District where she taught ASL to students and supported the Special Education classroom.
Call Center Manager
Lebanese-Mexican native Eliana Morado Bassil managed her family’s international business in Lebanon from 1996 to 2002 before pursuing a BS in Business Development. Recognizing the need for educators in Liberia, she earned a BS in Education in 2006 while volunteering at a school in Monrovia. Evacuated to Mexico during the 2006 war, she settled there for six years, working as a language teacher. In 2012, she moved to the U.S. and utilized her multilingual skills as an interpreter. Joining Language Bank in October 2021, she now serves as the Call Center Manager, overseeing scheduling, daily activities, and providing top-notch customer service.
Translation Coordinator
Styrling holds B.A.s in Anthropology and Religious Studies and started at Language Bank in fall 2021. Prior to coming to Language Bank, Styrling worked in domestic violence advocacy, refugee resettlement, and service projects with Sri Lankan and Sikh communities in North Carolina. Styrling is the point of contact for all of Language Bank’s document translation, proofreading, and transcription services.
Although only fluent in English, Styrling loves languages. She received a Critical Language Scholarship through US Department of State in 2019 to learn Hindi in India, and has also studied 9 others.
Support Services Manager
Jacob has worked at the Language Bank in various capacities for more than 8 years. He holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Juris Doctor.In his current role, Jacob is responsible for functions including data analysis, accounts payable, facilities management, translations services, and Deaf and Hard of Hearing services.
Service Manager
Radia holds a B.A. in Sociology and has 20 years of experience in the field of social work. She has 10 years of experience as an interpreter as well as 10 years of experience at Language Bank. She was previously the Health Case manager for Ascentria’s Services for New Americans program for 5 years.
Radia oversees all interpreter services at Language Bank. These include recruitment, onboarding, and day-to-day supervision. Radia is fluent in French, Arabic, Algerian, and Greek.
Recruitment and Interpreter Manager
Smeraldina has been with LB since February 2019 and has over 20 years of customer service experience. Smeraldina has worked for the banking industry and she has helped open up Primary Bank in Bedford, NH. Smeraldina oversees all interpreter services at Language Bank. These include recruitment, onboarding, and day-to-day supervision. Smeraldina has a certificate for interpretation and she speaks Bosnian, Croatian and Serbian.
