“The Language Bank provides “in person” interpreting services that cannot be matched by a “phone in” service. The clinicians from Concord Regional VNA visit and treat patients in their homes, and having an interpreter in the home facilitates a meaningful experience for the patient and our staff.
There have been many circumstances in which the Language Bank staff have gone out of their way to arrange for an interpreter when a patient needed a visit on very short notice. You can tell that it’s important to the Language Bank staff that we can get interpreter services when we need them, no matter the time or day.
I like that we can schedule services online. The website allows us to schedule multiple appointments for the same patient weeks ahead, check on the status and see the name of the assigned interpreter. We also can enter important details about the visit that the interpreter or Language Bank staff needs to know. The Language Bank offers great customer service and their interpreters are professional, courteous and objective. So far, there hasn’t been a language they couldn’t help us with, from ASL to Kinyarwanda to Vietnamese.”
